i have approximately 5 days and 5 hours between the time i land on american soil to christmas. this means that i need to jam pack all the christmas joy, glee, cheer, and jollyness that everyone in america gets to experience for a couple months, into this short amount of time.
am i seeking out the impossible? no. no way jose. i will do whatever it takes to make sure i am in the christmas spirit those 5 days before christmas. there is just no hint of christmas here in china... and no matter how hard we might try to cultivate the christmas spirit here.. it's just not the same.
in preparation for this strenuous mission, i have put together a list of activites that i will ensure to complete before the clock strikes midnight on christmas.
i give you...
annalisa's 5 days and 5 hours of christmas mayhem madness:
1. wrap all of my christmas presents
2. make sugar cookies and decorate them
3. make coffee crumble cake
4. make caramel apples
5. watch elf while drinking peppermint hot cocoa
6. make christmas white chocolate popcorn
7. go to apple hill
8. go to breakfast on sutter street then stroll around
9. go see christmas lights
10. go christmas caroling
11. give out 5 anonymous secret santa gifts to awesome people who deserve it
12. find 3 people in need and do something great for them
13. take the kiddo's christmas light seeing
14. watch the sun rise at the spot while drinking hot cocoa
15. watch the nativity with the fam bam
16. read christmas stories with the nieces and nephew
17. go to a movie with the fam bam
18. deliver cookie goodies to friends
19. take christmas pictures with the fam
and lastly....
20. go up to tahoe and go sledding!!!
i think that this is a pretty darn solid list.
but will i be able to complete each task by midnight on christmas?
only time will tell....
